Friends around the city join a table of 8-12 for dinner at one of the many participating restaurants across Greater Austin. The options range from more affordable mom’n’pop restaurants all the way to fine-dining restaurants – or even private chef experiences hosted in the comfort of someone’s home!
To participate, restaurants and private chefs agree to donate a table for 8-12 guests which includes a minimum of three courses and drink/wine pairings. Asian Eats ATX will recruit the table host, sell the seats, and ensure each patron is informed of where to go and what to expect. Gratuity for staff will be coordinated by the restaurants and Asian Eats ATX.
Most hosts prefer to purchase the entire table and invite their friends to join for an evening of fun. Some hosts like to invite a few friends and leave the table open to others or to have their guests cover their individual share of the table price Whatever the preferred way of filling the seats, the goal is to fill all 8-12 seats to raise as much money as possible to support that year’s Charity of Choice.
Of course! That is the preferred method of hosting. The Asian Eats ATX Table Auction opens in March, 2025.
We are pleased to select Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI) as our 2024 Charity of Choice. Funds raised during Asian Eats ATX will be distributed to support AACHI’s incredible mission and programs. Founded in 2006, the Austin Asian Community Health Initiative exists to partner with the Asian community in Austin to enhance public health and well-being. They fulfill that mission through language-specific education, advocacy, and healthcare navigation services. Learn more at www.aachi.org.
