About Donkey Mo’s: Donkey Mo’s Korean Fried Chicken sprang to life in 2018 within Austin’s H-Mart food court, pioneering Korean Fried Chicken in the area and swiftly claiming the title of the court’s premier establishment. Its inception was orchestrated by two culinary chefs hailing originally from Korea, each honed in the kitchens of Michelin-starred restaurants in New York City. 

Following a three-year hiatus, Donkey Mo’s has reemerged, unveiling its inaugural standalone establishment in 2024 amidst fervent anticipation, earning accolades as one of ‘Austin’s Most Anticipated Restaurants’ and among ‘The Hottest New Dining Destinations’ in the city.

Donkey Mo’s signature offering is its impeccably crispy, double-fried chicken, complemented by an array of irresistible sauces and a selection of Korean street food-inspired snacks and sides. Additionally, the menu features a curated assortment of Korean-imported and locally-crafted beers, thoughtfully chosen to harmonize with the flavors of their renowned Korean Fried Chicken.

Chef and owner Youngmin Noh has honed his recipe for Korean BBQ chicken among other delectable dishes like Bacon Kimchi Fries and Spicy Fried Rice Cakes. Youngmin’s passion for food led him from South Korea to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Youngmin worked in a number of notable NYC kitchens including The Modern, Ceritas, and Hooni Kim’s Korean restaurant, Hanjan before moving to Austin.
