The Peached Tortilla

About Founder Eric Silverstein:
Born and raised in Tokyo, Eric Silverstein comes from a mixed heritage. As a third-culture kid with a Chinese mother, an American father, and having traveled all over Asia including Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bali, Eric’s palate was defined by the different types of food in Asia that came to shape and hone his taste buds to seek out the kind of flavors he adored as a child.
This refinement of tastes inevitably evolved into a strong passion for food, from the way it’s prepared to the manner in which it’s presented and eaten. The name “peached” to Eric effectively means becoming “flavorsmitten” with any particular dish, something he found appropriate when he opened his food truck in 2010, thus coining the name, “Peached Tortilla.”
For Eric, The Peached Tortilla is not only providing excellent food to his community, but is also about re-creating some of the best experiences he had as a child and bringing them to his clientele. Their fusion-inspired cuisine takes inspiration from what Eric considers to be some of the best culinary experiences he has had and wishes to share with the Austin crowd.
